Recording at Pekalongan, Central Java

December 1st-3rd, 2010.

We agreed to enter the studio again, for the 2 songs that we have prepared. We must realized that we have not lived in one city and this is our constraints. Yep. We've been long-distance relationship now LOL. Awank and Diat stay in Pekalongan, while Astrid / Kicrit and Ardhi / Somet still live in Jogja. But, we sticked together with this situation.
Ardhi can't come to Pekalongan. Finally, just Astrid coming into Pekalongan, she was accompanied by a friend. Thanks for Jenky, the operator that help us with his passion

Kami bersepakat untuk masuk studio lagi, untuk 2 lagu yang sudah kami siapkan. Yang menjadi kendala kali ini adalah ketika kami harus menyadari bahwa kami sudah tidak tinggal dalam satu kota. Yap. Kami telah mengalami hubungan jarak jauh. Awank dan Diat stay di Pekalongan, sedangkan Astrid/ Kicrit dan Ardhi/ Somet masih tinggal di Jogja. Tapi tak mengapa kami tetap bertahan dengan keadaan kami yang sekarang.
Karena ada suatu halangan Ardhi tidak bisa datang ke Pekalongan. Akhirnya hanya Astrid yang datang ke Pekalongan ditemani seorang teman. Terima kasih buat Jengky, si operator yang membantu kami dengan passionnya

We Are SPANK THRU

Shout Out pertama yang kami keluarkan adalah SPANK(SPASI)THRU dan kami bukan band beraliran Grunge. Berawal dari tokoh yang tercipta kala kami sedang berkumpul sambil makan gorengan, bernama Jack yang suka menunggingkan pantatnya saat dia terlalu senang, Akhirnya kami memutuskan band kami bernama the Jackass. Dengan formasi awal Aurel pada vocal, Adhiat pada drum, Ardhi pada gitar, dan Awank pada bass yang memulai kisah kisah melodic ceria mereka. Lalu pada akhir 2008 Astrid menggantikan Aurel pada vokal. Tergantinya Astrid membawa distorsi rasa rock and roll dan pop punk serta tambahan sedikit ska.
Kemudian terpikirkan bahwa kami harus berbuat sesuatu untuk kembali menyegarkan tujuan awal dalam langkah bermusik kami. Saat itu kami sedang mendengarkan Nirvana – Spank Thru, terciptalah sebuah kenakalan pikiran bahwa tokoh kami si Jack harus kita “pukul / spank” terutama pada bagian pantatnya yang suka menungging tersebut. Untuk menghentikan kebiasaan bodohnya tersebut dan bersikap lebih dewasa.
Akhirnya kami sepakat untuk mengubah nama kami menjadi Spank Thru yang berarti dipukul terus menerus. Pengharapan perubahan nama kami semoga menjadikan kami lebih dewasa dengan sikap dan musikalitas kami.
Tahun berganti dan kami semakin mengaktualisasikan diri dengan mengimprovisasi musik kami dengan mengeksplorasi rasa alternatif yang tetap mengakar pada tujuan awal kami.
Inilah kami apa adanya…masuklah kawan..

English Version
Shout Out first SPANK(SPASI)THRU and we are not a grunge band. Starting from a figure which is created when we were together, eating fried foods, named Jack who like "topsy-turvy" his ass when he's too happy, finally we decided our band called The Jackass. By the early formation Aurel on vocals, Adhiat on drums, Ardhi on guitar, and Awank on bass who began their cheerful melodic tale story. Then in late 2008 to replace Aurel, Astrid swicth on vocal.
Astrid brings distortion think rock and roll and pop punk and the addition of a little ska. Then the unthinkable that we should do something to re-invigorating the original purpose in our musical steps. At that time we were listening to Nirvana - Spank Thru, created a naughty mind that our figures Jack must hit especially his ass 'cause his habit "topsy-turvy" to stop these stupid habits and being more mature. Finally we agreed to change our name to Spank Thru, which means being beaten continuously. Expectations change our name may make us more mature with our attitude and musicality.
Year change and we are increasingly self with us improvise music with a sense of exploring alternatives that remain rooted in our initial goal
